Launch technology status
At launch, the public site does not activate:
- user accounts;
- public comments;
- newsletter signup;
- booking or payment processing;
- affiliate tracking;
- advertising pixels;
- lead-generation or quote-request forms;
- user uploads;
- saved trip profiles; or
- advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled to measure site traffic and performance. The publication does not use it to create user accounts, accept bookings, run advertising, or build visitor profiles.
Hosting and security data
The hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, date and time, referrer, security events, and server logs.
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare controls its own infrastructure, security logs, processing, and retention under its published terms and privacy policy.
Correction, privacy, and accessibility email
A reader who sends an email may provide a name, email address, page URL, device or browser information, message, and attachments the reader chooses to include.
The publication may retain the communication as needed to review the request, document the editorial decision, maintain a correction record, protect the site, and respond.
Do not send emergency information, payment information, account passwords, government identification, or other unnecessary sensitive material through a publication email address.

Editorial and media records
The publication may maintain nonpublic working records such as source logs, claim-review notes, media-provenance records, correction files, commercial records, security records, and editorial decisions.
Public packages must not contain mailbox credentials, hosting credentials, unpublished source files, confidential commercial records, or unnecessary personal data.
Public media should be checked for unnecessary geolocation and device metadata before use.
External links
The site may link to government sources, airports, tourism resources, hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, attractions, transportation providers, and other independent services.
Those third parties control their own cookies, forms, bookings, payments, analytics, security, terms, and privacy practices.
Cookies, embeds, and analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is the only separately enabled analytics service at launch. It measures traffic and performance through Cloudflare's infrastructure. The site does not activate advertising pixels, affiliate tracking, social feeds, or third-party video players.
If a new analytics, advertising, embed, account, newsletter, booking, payment, or commercial system is added, this policy will be updated to describe the provider and the resulting data practices before activation.
Children
The publication provides general travel information and is not designed to collect personal information from children. No child-directed account, comment, upload, newsletter, or booking feature is active at launch.
Retention
The publication retains email requests, source records, correction records, and security information for as long as reasonably needed to review requests, document editorial decisions, protect the site, meet applicable obligations, and maintain accurate records. Cloudflare controls retention for data processed through its services.

Policy changes
Update this policy when the site changes its host, security tools, Analytics, cookies, forms, newsletter, booking tools, affiliate tracking, advertising, user accounts, uploads, payments, or public contact routes.
